5 Steps To Help You Make Your Mark

Finding your purpose can be a tricky thing, especially when you’re not sure what you want to do. But don’t worry! Chances are you’re not the only person in this place. And if you’re an entrepreneur or a creative who thrives on building brands and making a name for yourself, you may find in this place a few more times in your life. But here are a few tips to help you get out of that “stuck” place, and onto your next big idea or maybe that kick you need to help you launch your brand and make your mark.

  Find what excites you
The best place to start is with yourself. Take out a piece of paper and start to make a list of things you like to do. Things that excite you. Start off by writing everything that comes to mind then once you’re done go through the list and start to pull out common themes and ideas that made you smile. Once you’ve narrowed it down to your top 2 or 3 ideas head to the next step

  Map it out
This is where you start to figure out the who, what, where, and how but most important the why? Knowing and understanding your "why" will help in the moments when you're too tired or not in the mood to keep working on your big idea. Once you’ve written these down its time to work!

Work towards it every day and don’t stop
Carve out time every day to take one step closer to making your mark. Whether that’s using the MyMark tool to complete your online marketing plan or working on your logo or even just jotting down ideas, do something EVERY DAY! This will not only get you closer to launching your brand but it’ll also help with your morale.

  Speak Less Do More
Once you start to see your idea come to life you’ll want to tell everyone. Wait. You’ll want to vet your idea or product or portfolio with a few trusted people before you share it with the world.

Then, get feedback from a few people you trust
Once you’re done, get feedback! This will help you get a different perspective and make your idea even better.

Making your mark takes a lot of work, but you can do it and we’re here to help!
